And then there was a toilet.

Yup, that's right! We officially have a toilet folks. C keeps trying to tell me that a snake can come up the pipe, but the Greek told me that wasn't going to happen. Isn't there a saying about being older and wiser??? I'm going with that.

C and I also decided to sleep in the Porchouse for the first time on Friday night. We had fun. I hung our keys on the hooks and everything.

The next day we got to paint our walls. RobSr. and C had to ship lap the wood first, this took no time at all. I was so thankful it didn't rain. In terms of painting, we were going for a rough-cut look. That being said, we put on a very light coat of plain old white paint and it looks AWESOME! Not to mention this only took us about 30 minutes to roll paint onto the all of the boards.

Team Pyles!

The wood dried quickly in the sun, and we were able to hang them that day!

This is a close up of one of the outlets. I think it look great. Just what I was envisioning.

Sunday it looked like rain, so we had to get a little MacGyver on the site:

Rain, you have met your match.

We needed some shingles on the Porchouse porch, so on they went:

That contraption is some sort of vent seal, not a top hat.

Look at the surprise message RobSr. put in our gutter :) That will be fun to see in the fall when I'm cleaning it out.

I ventured to the roof to get a final picture. Of course, 2 shingles short.
This is somehow connected to the toilet.

Speaking of toilet...we have one now :)

These are all the layers of floor that were cut through to hook up the toilet.

Kinda like the Wizard of Oz...

That is the vent pipe that comes out on the roof.

Pipe leading to sand mound.

Pipe to bathroom.

There it is! I cannot wait until the first glorious flush.

This weekend was also Father's Day. I took a moment to pose with my Hubby and The Greek. You cannot see us very well though...
See what I did there?

And finally, I'm so excited to announce my rain barrel is OVERFLOWING! And we got a new hose on it. I used it to wash my painting supplies and whatnot. And it's just free water, for me!
