Kenny Chesney has nothing on my tractor.

That's right, we finally got the Cadet up to the property. While I love push-mowing, I guess it would be nice to sit back and relax a bit on a riding mower. So while all you Kenny fans were singing along to "She think's my tractor's sexy". I was living the dream.

The Greek and Me!

I mowed the path to the Rock. That wonderful spot where I got my first 2 deer. Oh ya, and we added some fancy-schmancey stairs.

And here it is in all of it's glory. First time on the sand mound. Did you know that the grass is greener over the sand mound? Did you also know that is a movie AND a book? My friend, Ramsey taught me that fun fact.

When I got to the property after mowing some paths, the boards were ship lapped and ready for painting.

The workstation

C and Trapper Ray were finishing up staining the fence.

This photo was actually not of the fence. Look closely at the neighbor....on the roof.

We completed the entire long wall inside and were able to install the shower.

The drain, obviously.

After helping the Greek, Trapper Ray ventured back up the hill to help nail on some walls for us.

I too, took part in nailing on the walls. In fact, we have the start of a bathroom wall already!

Bathroom Wall. The toilet is right on the other side.

I decided it was about time I displayed my antlers on the porchouse.

I coated them with some Poly. It didn't take long for them to dry in this hot sun.

RobSr. caught a butterfly on his finger. Although this picture screams "Merica" if you ask me

The Greek waving goodbye.

These blooms came up in my flower garden. I don't know what they are, but I love them.

Kinda like a fern, with flowers!

Well, that is all she wrote. C and I made a trip to Home Depot for some last minute purchases in hopes of wrapping up this project.

And then there was a toilet.

Yup, that's right! We officially have a toilet folks. C keeps trying to tell me that a snake can come up the pipe, but the Greek told me that wasn't going to happen. Isn't there a saying about being older and wiser??? I'm going with that.

C and I also decided to sleep in the Porchouse for the first time on Friday night. We had fun. I hung our keys on the hooks and everything.

The next day we got to paint our walls. RobSr. and C had to ship lap the wood first, this took no time at all. I was so thankful it didn't rain. In terms of painting, we were going for a rough-cut look. That being said, we put on a very light coat of plain old white paint and it looks AWESOME! Not to mention this only took us about 30 minutes to roll paint onto the all of the boards.

Team Pyles!

The wood dried quickly in the sun, and we were able to hang them that day!

This is a close up of one of the outlets. I think it look great. Just what I was envisioning.

Sunday it looked like rain, so we had to get a little MacGyver on the site:

Rain, you have met your match.

We needed some shingles on the Porchouse porch, so on they went:

That contraption is some sort of vent seal, not a top hat.

Look at the surprise message RobSr. put in our gutter :) That will be fun to see in the fall when I'm cleaning it out.

I ventured to the roof to get a final picture. Of course, 2 shingles short.
This is somehow connected to the toilet.

Speaking of toilet...we have one now :)

These are all the layers of floor that were cut through to hook up the toilet.

Kinda like the Wizard of Oz...

That is the vent pipe that comes out on the roof.

Pipe leading to sand mound.

Pipe to bathroom.

There it is! I cannot wait until the first glorious flush.

This weekend was also Father's Day. I took a moment to pose with my Hubby and The Greek. You cannot see us very well though...
See what I did there?

And finally, I'm so excited to announce my rain barrel is OVERFLOWING! And we got a new hose on it. I used it to wash my painting supplies and whatnot. And it's just free water, for me!
