Another Christmas has come and gone...

I start listening to Christmas music as soon as November begins. I have to admit, I'm a little sad that my 94.5 will no longer be playing my Christmas jams. But all in all, this Christmas was very enjoyable.

Our tree was apartment sized, we hosted and had dinner at our place on Christmas Day for C's family. The ham was good...now I'm testing out Linda's potato soup recipe to use it up :)

We spent time with my fam on Christmas Eve....Owen wore a bowtie. Need I say more? TOO.CUTE.

We also got some photos taken by our dear friend, Kate, from Captivating Imagery. She did an awesome job...it's almost as though we never left the property to snap these pictures.

We hope you had a very Merry Christmas!

Hunting 2013

I am pleased to announce that my tradition of getting a deer has continued. More importantly, C got his first deer this year!

It was actually freezing most days, but we pulled through and it was all worth it!

It was a pretty large Doe.

First time field dressing...always fun.

My Doe!

I didn't gut my own deer this time around...Trapper Ray did it for me. But this didn't come free of charge, it was in exchange for pizza for the entire clan on Friday night...which was delicious, might I add.

Mr. Sleeveless got his the same day as C. I was able to snag a photo of him as well. Don't be alarmed...he is wearing sleeves underneath of his sleeveless vest.

We now have plenty of meat to get us through until next year.

I don't give a Buck

Joey got his first deer this year...but the rest of us haven't had much luck, yet! Here is to hoping the weekend will change that!

And in other news...I doubt Watson will be found all Christmas Season!

RIP, Kindling

We had to say goodbye to Kindling on Saturday, the 7th. He had an existing condition that he was born with and he just couldn't fight it anymore. However, he got to spend whatever days he had living happily with Mr. Sleeveless, EJ and the Professor, of course. Not to mention the kitty playground that Mr. Sleeveless built!

Here's lookin at you...

I'm getting a blow up decoration for Christmas...

Once upon a time, while I was slaving away at Chick-fil-A during the Christmas Season, I would come home from work and The Sleeveless One would LITERALLY, sit by the door and flip the switch for one of those MONSTROUS blow up lawn snowman to inflate as I was walking up the driveway. Suffice to say, I am not fond of them.

He sent me a photo of something he wanted to get me:

Not only is it a huge lawn balloon, it's a hunter and it's a penguin. While the hunting part is good to go, I don't fancy Snowmen all that much either. It's kinda pricey, too. It burns up your electricity and it's loud. NO THANKS....but The Sleeveless one got a kick out of it.

In other news, Baby Owen is getting cuter by the second:

Exhibit "A" - Old man hat

Exhibit "B" - He can hangout

C and Owen

In Porchouse news, C had a break from classes so his Grandad offered to lend a hand in some minor finishing touches. He also has a workshop, which made cutting wood very easy!

Workshop in action

Most of the trim is now done, and all of the electrical fixtures are put into place. We also have a new furnace. Turns out, the pretty electrical one doesn't cut it when it's below zero.

Happy Hunting!

Fun with the Greek

It was unseasonably cold this brisk October day. But that didn't stop us from making a fire and some Mountain Pies! YUM

The Greek even ventured up to try one, I made one for his wife too, but she was on Baby Duty. The Greek carried it home in his pocket.

A and the Greek

Missy and the Greek. Seriously, can hardly tell she had a baby just 2 weeks before this!

All three together.

It's funny to see them all without suspenders on.

Finally...

With the help of the Sleeveless One and his big truck, we were able to finally move the old trailer frame down to the "junk" pile. It was so heavy, we were unable to move it without a truck. Our friend, Eric, also visited with us on Saturday. Eric and the Greek found that they share lots of food favorites, including SPAM, and sardines...

Professor Watson continued his plotting to take over the world while utilizing the Internet.

And Baby Owen is 1 month old!!! Hard to believe it's been a month already. He starting smiling too! :)

Missy and Rob have one of these stickers for each month up until 12. It will be fun to see how he grows over the next year.

All smiles!

How's your shed???

Cause our new shed is bangin'!

This shed was handcrafted by our Amish friend, Andrew Coblentz.

We went with a neutral grey/white color scheme.

Do not be deceived...it's ginormous on the inside!

An Invisible Spaceship...

If you were to see an invisible spaceship...this is what it would look like in cookie form! As you can see, it takes many hands to make these cookies, and they were delicious.

A variety of colors

Blue icing!

LP icing with such precision.

Mrs. Cav making icing.

Me and my sprinks!

Ta-Da!!!

If you want to know the story of the invisible spaceship, just ask Mr. Cav!

Where are they now?

Professor Watson and his colleague, Kindling, are doing quite well. They are living happily with Mr. Sleeveless and EJ. Kindling did have worms, but ever since that was handled, he is growing quickly.

Play time.

Mr. Sleeveless built this kitty kingdom

Professor Watson obviously likes it. He can now watch the hockey games without straining his neck. Per Mr. Sleeveless, he watched like this for 2 hours!

In addition to these felines, baby Owen is also doing great!

Wide awake

Mommy and Baby

Me holding Owen for the first time!

He has a variety of hats.

Already a Steelers Fan

Just meeting GREAT, GREAT Grandma for the fist time :)
