TIMBERRRRR

Sunday's To Do List:

  1. Remove furnace for selling on Craigslist
  2. Finish tearing off the aluminum siding
3. Remove both ends of the mobile
4. Remove the oil tank
5. Have a fire
6. Say our farewells
7. TIMBER!!!

As you can tell, Sunday is a busy day, so C and I went to the property to remove the furnace. We had our truck this weekend, which actually doesn't do the best in the snow. Therefore, after about 3 tries, we finally made it back up the hill. RobSr. and Featherweight arrived to the property, and were in dire need of 12 cups.

After the siding was off, we began removing the ends of the mobile.

After a few tough blows from Old Yellow there, the siding was off, and what we saw next was terrifying. Take a look:

This wasn't even half of them. Seeing as the windows were never closed, I can imagine spring and summer were horrific for this dwelling.

In order for us to push what was left of the trailer over, we had to get the oil drum out of the way. We have no use for the oil right now, but our new neighbor does :) We called him up and asked if he would like to come remove it. In the country, things like this clearly aren't an issue. He fired up the old bacco and was there in a flash.

Goodbye and Happy Heating!

In case you were wondering, this is what a trailer looks like without any siding or walls:

The toilet/plunger still remains, in a mobile full of nothing.

We saw a good photo opportunity and had to take it.

Give the man some privacy will ya, he's trying to read :)

DRUM ROLL PLEASE....
Please excuse my shrieks, it was my first trailer tear down.

The aftermath:

That lucky toilet made it!
There is still a bit more burning/cleanup/dumpster renting to do. But all in all, the entire trailer was removed in 2 weekends!
