This Saturday, after attempting to meet Willie Robinson at the new Field & Stream store, C and I ventured to the property to do some lawn maintenance.
We stopped in to say hello to the Greek and his Wife. Upon arrival, the Greek wanted me to see this sad little thing. He was found in the wood pile, his mother must have left him.
Meet: Kindling
We wrapped him up and attempted to give him some water. He seemed to liven up a bit after being wrapped up for a while. Regardless, I am allergic to cats, and so there wasn't much I could do for the little guy.
We decided to ask the Sleeveless one if EJ would be willing to help get him healthy again and ready for adoption. She said she would, so we made a box to take him home in and cut holes in the top.
After we tended to the lawn, another little thing followed C all the way to the car, which is actually a very long distance:
Meet: Professor Watson
He had a lot of spunk and energy, and really just seemed to want attention. We asked EJ if she wanted to help out with him as well, she of course, said YES!
We had to take the Professor home as well. Given his spunky state, he didn't really need a box, but I couldn't hold him (due to the previously mentioned allergy).
This was a nice alternative:
He stayed in the shoe the entire ride home and took a nap.
We took them directly to EJ and the Sleeveless one and before you know it, she had nursed Kindling back to health, and he was even eating.
They obviously like each other.
Dinner time
I thought perhaps Mr. Sleeveless would keep the cats, but they already have 2 pets. I am certain they will both find very happy homes!
