Now that we have spent the majority of our nest egg on a closing for the wooded properties and what looks to be a now necessary new transmission- we figured we might as well pick a few more dollars from the money tree to do some improvements to the lot. Through extensive fence research and consulting with fence connoisseurs we chose to put up a split rail fence along the road at the property. Although not our favorite, it fits the budget and is easily moved when the time comes. So began the search for split rail fencing in mid December. We went to the home depot & lowes with no luck other than overpriced junk wood and an unhappy #me. The trip was not a complete wash however because A found a mailbox that she liked (of course it was on sale) so we were able to cash in on a gift-card we had lying around, probably from the teardrop adventure.
So far it has been fail on the split rail fence, time to find a lumber yard!
