Did you all know there is a method to scrapping junk? And that you can actually make money from junk? I didn't know that, but C and I figured, we just tore down a trailer, let's try out the art of scrapping. One sunny day, we made our way to the propery and loaded up the truck.

RobSr. and Featherweight ventured up with a larger truck to help with this process. Which was such a big help, because total, we did 7 trips to the scrap yard.
Clearly, not only is RobSr. and expert "Trailer Remover", he knows the art of packing scrap as well. |
At closing time, we made our final runs to the scrap yard and took a picture. After our many trips that day, we wanted to point out that this pile is basically the entire trailer we just tore down.

I will leave you with a fun fact about scrapping.
If a magnet sticks to it, it's worth a little. If a magnet doesn't stick to it, it's worth a lot.
If you ever decide to get into scrapping for profit, I highly recommend using a magnet to filter through your metals.
Metals that are in the "sticking" category are Ferrous Metals. These include steel, nickel and cobalt.
Metals in the "non-sticking" category include aluminum, copper, brass, lead, gold and silver (these are the ones that will score you the most cash).
Needless to say, we did pretty well at the scrap yard that day, and we are excited to show you what we put that cash towards on the property.
